about

Jackson Reid Briggs & The Heaters are back...not that anyone bothered to ask. Less than a year after releasing ‘Spit On It and Give It A Name’ Briggs and his band return with a brand new album drenched in bleeding guitars, swampy horns and generational ennui. ‘It All Comes Down’!

With a new line-up featuring drummer Shauna Boyle (Cable Ties) and frequent collaborator Ryan Potter (The Maryetta’s, Nikko) on guitar, as well as an electric organ and a wild horn section, this fresh batch of songs showcases a more mature(ish) and considered Briggs & His Heaters, though no less loud or raucous than we’ve come to expect.

Recorded by Potter at Richmond’s Bakehouse Studios over two days in early June 2018 with additional recording, mixing and mastering by Wade Keighran, ‘It All Comes Down’ is nine songs of Australian pub punk, in all its ragged glory and hungover despair. Drink it deep, drink the dregs.

‘It All Comes Down’ is due out on the 15th of December digitally and on Vinyl via Grubby Publications.

"To listen to this record is to forget the obsequious behaviour of the ruling classes, to ignore the self-indulgent protestations of shouty old white men clinging onto a world that only existed in their tiny minds, to push past of the turgid vernacular of the corporate world. There’s purpose here, something to be heard, attitude, intensity, passion." Patrick Emery - i94bar.com

about

Jackson Reid Briggs & The Heaters Melbourne, Australia

What a goddamned mouthful. What a bloody earful. Punk rock n roll without the spit shine.
Jackson Reid Briggs, after a year or two playing solo & exiled from his home, adrift in the worlds most liveable city needed a backing band. Sandwiched somewhere between his hometowns The Saints and Neil Young at his most ragged, playing in a dirty old pub on the outskirts patronised by locals only. ... more
